Family history

When being a pharmacist is in your blood, you can rest assured you are in good hands.
That’s how it is with Dr. Samuelov company, managed and led  by a third-generation pharmacist in Israel.
In 1956, the pharmacist Shmuel (Sammy) Samuelov immigrated to Israel from Bulgaria and founded the Hygia pharmacy in Ramat Gan.
His son, Yehezkel, continued in his footsteps and got his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Dr. Yehezkel Samuelov met Arza Feingold during their Pharmacy studies in Jerusalem, the two got married and in 1979 founded the Bar Ilan pharmacy in Raanana, Israel.
The couple were trailblazers in that they introduced unique homeopathic products and innovative concoctions to the Israeli market.
Later they expanded the family business by opening two more pharmacies in Raanana.
Alongside local production, their business expanded to additional realms and the Samuelov family started working in import, marketing, and distribution.
Their unique business created commercial ties with large companies overseas and formed the foundation for the third-generation business – Dr. Samuelov Importing and Marketing Ltd., led by their son, Ran Samuelov.

The company CEO, Ran Samuelov was born in 1974 in Jerusalem.
He was the eldest of three children.
Although he was born into the profession, and grew up in the pharmacy, he fell in love with it and chose it only when he applied to the Hebrew University and discovered what an intriguing and rich world it was.
Samuelov also fell in love with and married Neta, a pharmacist herself. Together they have four children.
Ran Samuelov graduated Executive MBA at the Recanati school of management at the Tel Aviv University.
